The Path to Healing Begins Here

Adjunct EMDR Therapy, EMDR Intensives, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Stephanie Mewes, LMSW, LCSW, CCTP, RYT-200

I'm glad you're here.

When we have something traumatic happen in our lives, we do not fully experience it because our bodies are primarily focusing on just enduring and surviving the trauma. Afterwards, we can find ourselves feeling elevated, experiencing repetitive negative thoughts, and just not feeling like ourselves.

Whether you’ve experienced trauma, you've found that traditional talk therapy isn't bringing the same progress you once saw, or you're tired of revisiting painful memories over and over, I’m here to help by using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

EMDR is a powerful approach that helps you process and reframe traumatic or difficult experiences without the need to constantly relive them or even talk about them. EMDR helps you break free from the emotional hold of past events, allowing you to experience lasting relief and progress. EMDR could be the transformative therapy that allows you to release the past and embrace a brighter, values-driven future.

In addition to EMDR therapy, I am excited to announce that I am offering Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) at Michigan Advanced Psychiatry of Troy, in partnership with KindMind Counseling. KAP services are only available for Michigan residents.

As a KAP therapist, I lead patients through treatment, but I do not prescribe the ketamine involved in treatment.
