banner image

You just completed EMDR basic training. You are excited about implementing EMDR with your clients and seeing their progress unfold.

Maybe you are working toward EMDRIA certification and looking to take that next step in your career.

Or maybe you feel uncertain about EMDR, are seeing a plateau in client progress, and don't quite know where to go from here because there is so much to remember and it can all feel so complex.

EMDR consultation offers therapists a supportive and enriching space to deepen their expertise, build confidence, and enhance clinical outcomes. By investing in consultation, EMDR trained therapists can refine their skills, receive guidance on complex cases, stay aligned with EMDRIA best practices, and integrate EMDR more confidently and effectively into your practice.

Can scheduling an EMDR Intensive be a part of my experiential learning as a consultee?

  • Yes! As a consultee you are welcome to complete a portion of your consultation hours as an EMDR Intensive. The focus of the intensive would be experiential learning, similar to completing a role play during your EMDR Basic Training.
  • You would continue to take on the role of a consultee and learner. The Consultant/CIT's role would be your consultant and teacher, not your therapist. If at any point, there is a need for any type of therapeutic support, your Consultant/CIT would refer you to continue that work with another therapist.
